47º
European judges from 18 different countries will meet in Cantabria to
judge during a few days, some of the best Friesian breed animals of this
Autonomous Region. |
|

Conafe,
6th May, 2009.—
A large representation of European Holstein Judges from 18 different
countries will meet from the 8th until the 10th May in
Cantabria (Spain). The workshop is organized by the Working Group on
Harmonisation of European Judging, a committee of EHRC, being
Conafe a member of it. |
|
|
The
aim of this project of harmonization, created in 1994, is to
standardize the lines of judging for Shows in Europe and to exchange
of judges to judge shows in different countries.
This
is the first time Spain holds this kind of meeting and for it,
Conafe counts on the collaboration of Friesian Association of
Cantabria (AFCA), Government of Cantabria and Town hall of
Torrelavega. “Jesús Collado Soto” Cattle Market in Torrelavega will
be the site where, during the Saturday 9th May, practical sessions
will take place. These sessions will be focused in judgement –as if
it was a show- of different classes of animals, whom the 14 farms of
Cantabria have lent. |
|
The
programme will finish on Sunday 10th May with the visit
to the famous farms “La Marina de Retortillo” and “La Flor” where
the participants will be able to see excellent animals of Friesian
breed cattle in Cantabria. |
