AUTUMN GRAND CHAMPION COW CONAFE ‘09


Arsuaga Aine Leduc, (Leduc x Storm), the Autumn Grand Champion Cow Conafe 2009.

Conafe.- In the main pavilion of “Luis Adaro” Showground in Gijón took place the XXX National Friesian Breed Show Conafe 2009 and the XI National Showmanship. This show was organized by CONAFE with the collaboration of ASCOLAF and under the sponsorship of the Government of Principado de Asturias; the Ministry in a Regional Government of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, the City Hall of Gijón, the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Camara of Gijón and Caja Rural.

53 farms participated with 139 animals from the following Autonomous Regions: Cantabria, Castilla y León, Cataluña, Galicia, Navarra, Principado de Asturias and País Vasco.

                       

The Show was judged by Brian Carscadden, international judge from the Holstein Association Canada. He is a sire analyst for an important firm in Canada. He has a great experience as a fitter for shows and exhibitions. He has judged shows in different countries of Europe, Asia, Oceania and North and South America, among them the the famous World Dairy Expo Madison in 2008. In our country he participated as a teacher in the first School for Fitters in Asturias 2005.

BeneraPereda Lor Lou from Ganadería Benera in Cantabria, he Grand National Champion Heifer and the Champion Calf.

Arsuaga Aine Leduc, (Leduc x Storm) EX)=, and  +1424 ICO, owned by Ganadería Granja Jado in Cantabria, was the Autumn Grand Champion Cow Conafe 2009. Arsuaga got 1.500 € prize and 900 € as Mature Champion Cow.

 

Planillo September Sara owned by Ganadería Planillo in Navarra. Co-ownership Carlos Prat and Triple A Holstein, was the Reserve Grand Champion Cow and Intermediate Champion Cow.

Ilermik 392 Aerocerf 717 owned by Ganadería La Flor in Cantabria, was the Reserve Mature Champion.

 

BeneraPereda Lor Lou from Ganadería Benera in Cantabria, was the Grand National Champion Heifer and the Champion Calf.

Young Champion Calf: Cid Goldwyn Aleluya V from Gandeiria Cid SC in Lugo.

Reserve Young Champion Calf: Marquet Carolina Stormatic. Cal Marquet (Lleida).

 

Reserve Intermediate Champion Cow: Sarabia Samia Duplex. Ganadería Sarabia (Cantabria).

 

Best Autonomous Region: Cantabria.

Reserve Best Autonomous Region: Navarra.

Reserve Best Herd:  S.A.T Lengusuek Nº 356 (Navarra) with 48 points.
